I put alot of thought into this.
What i thought about was how would i imagine
and like the new dA logo to look like.
Basically i didn't do anything extreme & wild,
what i did was refresh the old one in a way.
Here are some details on what i had in mind
and did to the logo you're looking at.
1. Smooth: more round edges=friendly, approachable & open to human contact.
2. The logo as a whole creates some kind of circle (circular shape): interactive community=give and get
3. Bold: big company/community/site= power & influence
4. Clean: it is open to everyone
*Edit: Fixed the typography a little bit & added the logo in a box as alot of people have done.
